Job Title: Application Functional Specialist

Job Description: Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Job Related Competencies
Educational Qualifications:
  • Degree educated in IT or a related discipline.
  • Experience Profile:
  • 10+ years IT industry experience.
5+ years experience in a direct user-facing functional consulting role.
  • Small scale project management experience essential.
  • Functional experience of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Oracle is a strong advantage.
  • Functional Experience in the following domains (minimum 3 “must” domains);
o Purchasing (must)
o Sourcing (must)
o Procurement Contracts (must)
o Inventory (must)
o Warehouse Management (must)
o Enterprise Asset management (must)
o Oracle Time and Labour Module (advantage, not mandatory) o Human Resources (advantage, not mandatory)
  • Experience of following ITIL framework / processes is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in modern project delivery methodologies (e.g. agile) and
  • management is an advantage.
  • Experience with Robotic Process Automation and AI Tools is a strong
  • advantage.
  • Experience in Oracle database programming is an advantage.
  • Experience with non ERP applications support / integrated applications with
  • ERP is an advantage.
  • Upstream oil/gas industry experience is an advantage.
Competencies/Skills/Others:
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain and Asset Management procedures, Finance and Human Resources is an advantage. Willingness and ability to take ownership and personal responsibility of issues and drive them through to successful
  • resolution.
  • Professional, positive, can-do attitude with a sense of urgency for task
  • completion.
  • team player who can guide/advise junior colleagues within the department. Strong customer focused attitude is essential.
  • Excellent problem analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to confidently speak to large groups / lead workshops.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Proven ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, set and meet deadlines. Knowledge of MS SharePoint is an advantage.
