Job Description: Subsea CRB Installation Manager will oversee the offshore deployment of critical subsea polymer or syntactic foam products, such as Distributed Buoyancy Modules (DBMs), Vortex Induced Vibration (VIV) strakes, and cable protection systems.
Core Responsibilities
  • Installation Engineering: Develops task-specific method statements, risk assessments, and step-by-step procedures to guide offshore deployment.
  • Vessel Operations: Manages the integration of buoyancy and protection equipment onto Dynamic Positioning (DP) vessels and ensures smooth Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) interventions.
  • Interface Management: Liaises directly with clients, marine contractors, and vessel crew members to ensure offshore operations strictly meet project schedules and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Verifies that all subsea hardware, clamps, and bend restrictors are assembled and deployed according to API and project specifications. [4, 8]
Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Marine, Mechanical, or Offshore Engineering, typically combined with 10 to 15+ years in offshore installation and project management.
Offshore Certifications: Mandatory offshore survival tickets, such as HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) and offshore medical certificates.
Technical Skills: Deep understanding of subsea lay methods (J-Lay, S-Lay), rigging and lifting, and subsea structural integrity.
